Obligation to prove iron and steel imports
Certificate of Conformity - Prohibition of import and purchase of goods listed in Annex XVII of Regulation (EU) 2023/1214 Art. 3 Paragraph 1 Letter d – Iron and steel products with Russian raw material.
We hereby inform you with regard to ensuring compliance with the sanctions provisions of the applicable legal regulations of EU law on sanctions against Russia and Belarus, in particular Regulations (EU) No. 833/2014, Regulation (EU) No. 269/2014 and Regulation (EU) No. 765/2006 including the respective amending regulations.
This also includes the requirement of the so-called 11th sanctions package, which was published in the Official Journal of the EU L159 I of June 23, 2023, according to which the import and purchase of certain steel products from third countries that were processed using steel originating in Russia is prohibited.
With this letter we draw your attention to the fact that goods affected by Article 3g of EU Regulation (EU) 2023/1214 in its currently valid version may no longer be delivered or sold to us or by us from the date mentioned.
We would like to point out that our suppliers have, of course, been made aware of the regulation and the associated obligations.
